Ciao, no non c’è bisogno di compilare openwrt. Puoi usare il firmware originale TP-LINK l’importante è che nel nome del firmware ci sia “boot_up”.
Ti serve un saldatore a punta fine per fare il ponte tra i due contatti nell’immagine e per saldare i pin della seriale.
Una volta collegato e connesso al PC apri putty o un altro terminale seriale con 115200, 8n1, no flow control.
Accedi il router, copia il log di avvio e postalo qui.
Poi spegni, riaccendi e quando vedi il messaggio “Autobooting in 1 seconds” devi scrivere velocissimo tpl per bloccare l’avvio automatico.
Una volta bloccato scrivi printenv bootcmd e posta qui la risposta.

OK era quello che serviva, devi partire da questo indirizzo e fermarti alla dimensione esatta del firmware.
Scarica l’ultima versione di DD-WRT da qui, è grande 3932160 bytes che convertiti in hex diventano 3c0000.
Quindi riassumendo…
- Imposta la connessione di rete del tuo PC con IP statico IPv4 192.168.1.254 e collega il cavo al router (porta LAN);
- Scarica il firmware DD-WRT da qui;
- Scarica e avvia il server TFTP da qui, disattiva momentaneamente il firewall di windows per evitare problemi e assicurati che nella cartella “Current directory” del server TFTP ci sia il firmware DD-WRT appena scaricato;
- Accendi il router e con la seriale blocchi l’avvio automatico scrivendo tpl;
- Configura IP del server TFTP (tuo PC) e del router con il comando:
setenv serverip 192.168.1.254; setenv ipaddr 192.168.1.1
- Carica dal server TFTP il firmware con
tftp 0x80800000 factory-to-ddwrt.bin
- Elimina i dati dalla flash usando gli indirizzi che abbiamo trovato sopra:
erase 0xbf020000 +0x3c0000
- Scrivi il firmware nella flash con
cp.b 0x80800000 0xbf020000 0x3c0000
- Riavvia il router
reset
Ora hai di nuovo il router funzionante con DD-WRT

Dopo l’aggiornamento e il riavvio aspetta qualche minuto e poi fai un reset tenendo premuto il tasto reset per 30 secondi, non si sa mai…
